Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses public
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking before a security cabinet meeting, says Israel is determined to dismantle the Hamas infrastructure in the West Bank and Gaza.
“We have three missions before us. First, to get to the murderers and everyone who participated in the kidnapping; we have already arrested hundreds of Hamas operatives,” he says.
The prime minister adds that the IDF also aims to substantially weaken Hamas in the West Bank, and, third, to operate against the group in the Gaza Strip.
“Over the past few days, the IDF has struck Hamas targets in Gaza.”
Hamas is “directly responsible for rocket and mortar fire into our territory,” he says.
Netanyahu declares that operations against Hamas will expand as necessary.
