Protesters, police clash in Jerusalem; 28 arrested
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe right-wing demonstrations in the capital heat up, with police and protesters clashing and some 28 activists arrested, according to the Ynet news site.
The demonstrators call out “Death to the Arabs” and “No Arabs, no terror attacks,” and decry the lack of a government military response.
The march, which began at the Bridge of Strings at the entrance to the city and continued along Jaffa Road, blocked traffic and briefly brought the city’s light rail to a halt.
The trains have since resumed, but additional traffic disruptions are expected to continue until the protest is dispersed.
