Qatar slams ‘Israeli aggression’ in Gaza

Qatar’s foreign ministry says its government “expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the [latest] Israeli aggression in Gaza,” becoming one of the first foreign governments to weigh in on the latest round of violence and to criticize Israel.
Qatar’s role in Gaza has long been critical, backing millions of dollars in aid that is used to help prop up the economy.
