Slew of failings led to soldier’s death in training
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA report by Channel 2 outlines a number of operational failings that led to the death of IDF soldier Yishai Rosales during an army training exercise last week.
According to the report, the shell fired during the drill landed 1,650 meters away from the intended target. Moreover, there was no safety officer present when the shell was launched. Several senior officers were just 300 meters from the blast, and the soldiers who launched the projectile failed to update the others, although they were required to.
