State witness in submarine probe said sent to protected apartment
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA state witness in a graft probe into a multi-billion shekel deal to purchase naval vessels from Germany has reportedly been sent to a witness protection apartment.
Channel 2 reports that Miki Ganor, who was previously kept under house arrest, was not permitted to return home and has been sent to a secured location.
Ganor, a former agent for the German submarine company Thyssenkrupp, is suspected of giving bribes in connection with a decision by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to buy three submarines from the Germany company in a deal reached despite opposition from the Defense Ministry.
