Thousands at funeral of stabbing victim

Thousands of people attend the funeral of Rabbi Nehemia Lavi, 41, in the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem.

President Reuven Rivlin, Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi David Lau, and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat speak at the funeral.

The president urges worshipers to continue visiting the Old City despite the violence.

“Our enemies know how to hurt us, but not how to beat us,” says Rivlin. “The fight against terror requires determination.”

“Don’t shy away from the Old City,” the president urges.

Lavi, a resident of the Old City, is survived by his wife and seven children.
