Trump asked why he’s calling Iran’s leaders crazy after claiming last month they were rational

US President Donald Trump is pressed on why he is calling Iran’s leaders crazy today amid the ongoing escalation with Tehran, given that he was repeatedly calling them more reasonable last month, as he claimed that he had instituted regime change when the US signed an MOU with the Islamic Republic.

“When you say rational, I think they’re much more rational than level one, level two,” Trump says, referring to the senior Iranian officials taken out during the war before again insisting that the current leadership cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

“This is level three. I think they are more rational, but, based on their actions over the last week or two, they’re not doing a service to their people,” Trump says during a press conference at the conclusion of a NATO summit.
