US President Donald Trump lands in Ankara on Tuesday for a NATO summit in the Turkish capital.
The US leader is due to hold talks with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan at his sprawling presidential palace before joining an official leaders dinner ahead of the main session of the summit tomorrow.
US President Donald Trump is expected to tell Erdogan that he is prepared to allow the country to rejoin the F-35 stealth fighter program, the New York Times reported, citing four senior administration officials.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said yesterday that Israel does not think Turkey should receive F-35s or engines for its fighter jets, and he reportedly urged Trump against such a move in a recent phone call.
