UK PM says British planes involved in ‘defensive’ Mideast actions

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer says that British forces and planes were participating in coordinated defensive efforts to protect the country’s interests and allies.
Starmer says in a televised statement that Iran should refrain from further strikes and cease violence and oppression against its people, and stresses the importance of preventing further escalation and of returning to a diplomatic process.
