Wanted Sudan president to step down in 2020

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir says he will step down in 2020 after his current term in office ends.

“In 2020, there will be a new president and I will be an ex-president,” Bashir says in an interview with the BBC broadcast on Thursday.

Bashir, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court on war crimes charges, seized power in a 1989 coup.
