With 596 new deaths, UK’s virus death toll surges past 16,000
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe number of people in Britain who have died in the hospital from the coronavirus has risen by 596 to 16,060, according to daily health ministry figures.
“As of 5 pm on 18 April, of those hospitalized in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 16,060 have sadly died,” says the ministry, up from 15,464 earlier.
