Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air has resumed flight operations to and from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport after a three-month hiatus.
Wizz Air suspended flight services after Israel’s airspace was shut to foreign airlines on February 28, when the US-Israeli war with Iran began.
The carrier says the “resumption of flights to Israel further strengthens its position as the number one low-cost airline in Israel,” connecting passengers to multiple destinations in Europe, including Budapest, London, Milan, Rome, Bucharest, Bratislava, Larnaca, Warsaw, Krakow, Athens, and Sofia.
“We are excited about our return to Tel Aviv,” says Wizz Air Head of Communications Andras Rado. “We look forward to welcoming Israeli passengers with a great onboard experience at attractive prices and, of course, connecting our millions of customers across Europe to experience the amazing culture Israel has to offer.”
