Zelensky tells UK’s Johnson the coming hours are critical
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tells UK leader Boris Johnson that the next 24 hours will be “crucial for Ukraine,” a spokesperson for Johnson says.
Johnson tells Zelensky that the UK and other Western allies will do everything in their power to send defensive aid to Ukraine, the spokesperson says.
The UK and other European countries have vowed to send weapons and other aid to Ukraine, including fighter jets and anti-tank weapons, as Russian forces close in on major Ukrainian cities.
A Ukrainian delegation is set to meet a Russian delegation on Ukraine’s border with Belarus to negotiate, but Zelensky has said he is skeptical of Russian intentions during the talks.
