A man in his 50s was found dead in his apartment in the coastal city of Ashdod on Sunday. His wife and another man were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Magen David Adom medics found the man dead with cuts on his hands, Hebrew media reported.

“We entered the apartment and saw a man lying unconscious and with signs of violence,” said MDA medic Matan Dushi. “We performed medical examinations, he was without vital signs and we were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.”

The apartment was full of glass shards and scattered and broken objects that police suspect indicate a struggle between the husband and wife.

The wife, in her 40s, was arrested along with a man in his 60s. Both were in the apartment when police officers arrived, but the wife reportedly refused to say a single word.
