A 40-year-old man was indicted Monday for allegedly stabbing two people during a dispute over parking in Jerusalem’s Old City earlier this month.
According to the indictment an argument took place between the suspect and the two victims near the Old City’s New Gate on August 18.
At one point during the dispute, the two got out of their vehicle, at which point they were stabbed several times by the suspect, leaving them moderately wounded, police said in a statement.
The suspect then fled the scene but was later arrested in his Old City home by police, who also found the knife used in the attack.
Police requested that the suspect remain in custody until the end of legal proceedings.

The indictment comes a day after another incident of road rage, when a driver in northern Israel was filmed getting out of his car and threatening occupants of a nearby vehicle with a machete.
