A man was stabbed to death in an apparent drunken brawl in the Haifa suburb of Kiryat Yam overnight Tuesday, police and medics said.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene said they found the 57-year-old in critical condition with severe stab wounds and took him to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa for treatment.
Doctors said they tried to resuscitate the man several times but were forced to declare him dead.
Media outlets named the victim as Vladimir Timofeev.
Police said they detained three suspects in the incident for questioning.
According to preliminary findings, the individuals were drunk when a fight broke out between them, leading to the stabbing.
