Palestinian driver slams into West Bank crossing in suspected ramming attempt
Defense Ministry says no Israeli forces injured in incident at Reihan Crossing; suspect hurt, though condition unclear

A Palestinian driver slammed into a guard post at a crossing in the northern West Bank on Saturday, in what Israeli authorities described as a suspected ramming attempt.
The Defense Ministry said the suspect drove into a protected barrier on the Israeli side of the Reihan Crossing.
The driver was injured as a result, though his condition was unclear.
No Israeli forces were injured, with the Defense Ministry stressing no shots were fired during the incident.
The ministry said it was probing the suspected ramming further.
The incident came amid heightened tensions in the West Bank, as Israeli troops carry out anti-terror campaign launched earlier this year after 19 Israelis were killed in a string of attacks. Four soldiers have been killed in the West Bank in attacks and during the arrest operations.
Over 100 Palestinians have also been killed, many of them while carrying out attacks or during clashes with security forces.
