Noralin Agojo was released on November 28 as part of a temporary ceasefire deal brokered by Qatar and the United States between Hamas and Israel. Her husband Gideon Babani was murdered on October 7. This is the story of her capture:
Noralin Agojo, also known as Nora or Natalie, 60, was taken hostage from Kibbutz Nirim on October 7 when Hamas terrorists launched an assault on the Gaza border communities, killing more than 1,200 and taking at least 240 hostages.
Agojo, born in the Philippines, was in touch with her younger brother, Exo, before 7 a.m. that morning, when she called to say she was frightened. She told him she might not return.
On October 6, she traveled from her home in Yehud with her Israeli husband, Gideon Babani, to the home of close friends in Kibbutz Nirim to celebrate 70 years for the agricultural community in the south.
The couple spent the night at the kibbutz. In the morning, Babani was killed by Hamas terrorists who raided the community, and Agojo was taken captive.
Exo has posted on social media about his sister’s passion for life, her friendships, trips, and the garden of the building in Yehud where Agojo grows succulents and flowers.
