Rescue workers evacuated several homes in the community of Aviel in northern Israel on Saturday. There were no reports of injuries.
The brush fire broke out close to the moshav situated south of the town of Zichron Yaakov. Thick smoke engulfed the homes, prompting the evacuation, police said.
Firefighters were working to douse the flames.
Israel is in the midst of a heat wave as temperatures in the area hit 32°C (90°F) on Saturday.
