Three Palestinians killed in West Bank car crash

Nine others injured, including one Israeli, in three-vehicle collision south of Jerusalem

Three Palestinian men died in a three-vehicle crash in the West Bank south of Jerusalem Monday morning.

Eight others were seriously injured in the crash involving a van, a commercial vehicle from the Havat Tekoa mushroom farm, and a car, according to Magen David Adom paramedics.

The collision occurred near on Highway 398, which runs between Jerusalem and the settlement of Tekoa, near Bethlehem.

Paramedics found two of the deceased men trapped under a van and administered first aid, but were unable to revive them.

Two men, aged 35 and 50, sustained serious injuries and were evacuated by the MDA to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. Six others were evacuated by Red Crescent paramedics.

The 50-year-old man, a Palestinian, later died of his wounds.

One Israeli was lightly injured.
