Netanyahu, McDonough to address annual summit on Tuesday; ToI’s David Horovitz moderates panel at opening plenary

The three-day annual General Assembly of the Jewish Federations of North America opened Sunday in Washington, DC.

The summit, which is expected to draw thousands, will feature, among others, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli opposition leader Isaac Herzog; NBC newsman David Gregory; actress Debra Messing; Leslie Wexner, the CEO of L Brands, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works; and, of course, Jerry Silverman, CEO of the Jewish Federations of North America.

A panel at Sunday’s opening session is moderated by The Times of Israel’s founding editor David Horovitz; that session features Canadian Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Abella, Messing, and Ambassador Dennis Ross.

Netanyahu will address the conference on Tuesday morning, followed by White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough.
