Woman dies, 4 hurt as car tumbles into roadside ditch

Two moderately injured, two lightly injured in overnight accident in the southern Negev region

A woman died Sunday morning, hours after suffering critical injuries overnight, when the car she was traveling in veered off the road and overturned into a ditch.

The accident happened on Route 31, east of the Tel Arad junction in the Negev region in the south of the country.

The woman, in her 30s, was taken by paramedics to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba along with two others who were moderately injured and two more who were lightly hurt in the crash.

Separately, on Sunday morning police closed both directions of Katznelson Street in the central coastal city of Bat Yam due to a traffic accident. Initial media reports did not say if there were any injuries in the incident.
