The Ayalon Highway, the main traffic artery into Tel Aviv, was closed off Monday morning after a motorcyclist fell off the road and on to the train tracks below.

Emergency rescue crews arrived on the scene to retrieve and treat the man, who suffered severe injuries after hitting a moving vehicle and being hurled over the guard rails to the tracks 10 feet below. The Highway was closed off to traffic in both directions and police urged motorists to use alternative routes.
