Police suspect man of killing 74-year-old sister
Investigators believe the 70-year-old suspect wanted to inherit woman’s property in Jaffa

A 70-year-old resident of Bat Yam was arrested Thursday on suspicion that he murdered his 74-year-old sister.
Mazal Jerssi, a resident of Jaffa, went missing more than a month ago. In the midst of an investigation into the woman’s whereabouts, police began to suspect that her brother, Mordechai Jerssi, had killed her because he wanted to inherit her home and other property.
The woman’s body has not been found.
The Tel Aviv Magistrates’ Court extended the suspect’s remand on Friday.
