Palestinians in Gaza fired a Kassam rocket into southern Israel Wednesday afternoon, as sporadic rocket fire continued for another day.
The rocket landed in an open area in the Hof Ashkelon region and no injuries or damage was reported.
On Tuesday night, Israel Defense Forces planes struck targets in the Gaza Strip, after a rocket landed in the yard of a home, causing some damage. A second rocket landed later Tuesday night without causing any damage.
Earlier Tuesday, a Sinai-based Salafist group said that it would avenge the IDF’s killing of terrorists in an airstrike on Gaza this weekend.
“We, Ansar Bait al-Maqdis group, tell the Jews that the blood of our brothers in Palestine is ours and their revenge is ours… So wait for our painful reply and revenge,” Reuters reported the group saying in a statement posted on the group’s websites.
