Police arrested a 58-year-old Tel Aviv resident on suspicion of assaulting and seriously injuring a Sudanese man near Tel Aviv’s Central Bus Station on Saturday morning.

Magen David Adom responded to a report of an unconscious person lying in Har Zion Boulevard around 4 a.m. Paramedics found the victim covered in bruises and evacuated him to Tel Aviv’s Sourasky Medical Center for treatment.
Police investigators arrived on the scene and questioned eyewitnesses. They arrested the suspect thereafter.
The circumstances of the attack were unclear.
The police will request to extend the suspect’s detention on Satuday night at the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court.
