The funerals of slain Israeli teenagers Naftali Fraenkel, 16, Eyal Yifrach 19, and Gil-ad Shaar 16, began simultaneously on Tuesday afternoon in each of the victims’ hometowns.
Yifrach’s ceremony was held in Elad and was attended by Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon.
Finance Minister Yair Lapid spoke at the funeral of Shaar in Talmon.
Fraenkel’s burial service was held in Nof Ayalon and attended by Education Minister Shai Piron.
Following the eulogies, the three funeral events were scheduled to join up in the city of Modiin where the three victims were to be buried side by side.
The bodies of the three teenagers were found on Monday afternoon half buried in a field near Halhul, close to Hebron.
Fraenkel, Shaar, and Yifrach were abducted on June 12 from a hitchhiking post in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem.
