Food delivery giant Wolt is coming to Jerusalem in mid-October, bringing its turquoise-festooned couriers and bags to the winding streets and hills of the holy city.

A pop-up recruitment stand for the Helsinki-based company was spotted in the Jerusalem Rose Garden parking lot on Wednesday.

Racks of Wolt bags, jackets, bottles — and parkas, for Jerusalem’s chilly winters — were available for the new recruits signing up to ride and deliver.

A Wolt spokesperson confirmed that the Finnish-founded company is coming to Jerusalem soon, having expanded to 23 cities in Israel since it first began operating in 2018 in Tel Aviv.

The delivery platform will also publish the list of Jerusalem restaurants signing up to use Wolt, said the spokesperson.

Wolt began operating in Tel Aviv with 26 restaurants, and today operates with over 2,500 businesses, including restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, florists, bookstores and other shops.

The company was established in 2014 in Helsinki, Finland, and currently operates in 23 countries.

In Israel, Wolt operates in Ramat Gan, Givatayim, Herzliya, Netanya, Ramat Hasharon, Kfar Saba, Raanana, Hod Hasharon, Holon, Rishon LeZion and recently expanded to Ashdod, Pardes Hanna and Yavne.

The delivery service has 9,000 messengers in Israel.
