Haifa Magistrate’s Court on Saturday evening extended the arrest of four suspects, aged 19-20, for shooting at a home in Rameh, an Arab town in the Galilee.

The remand of the four suspects, all IDF soldiers, was extended for two days, police said in a statement Sunday.

The suspects were arrested in connection with shots that were fired overnight Friday at the home of 47-year-old local resident of the town. The shots did not cause any injuries but the building was damaged.

Police said the reason for the shooting was not initially clear. Cops who arrived at the scene after the first shots were fired then heard the sound of further shooting.

Officers stopped a vehicle and discovered the four suspects inside, one of whom was armed with an M-16 rifle. Other evidence in the car also tied the suspects to the shooting, police said.

All four were arrested and the IDF Military Police were informed of the event.
