Top ultra-Orthodox rabbis eulogize 14-year old Yosef Eisenthal, the ultra-Orthodox boy who was fatally run over by a bus driver during an anti-conscription demonstration in Jerusalem last night, at his funeral in Jerusalem.
His funeral, which set out from the capital’s Ramot neighborhood, is attended by, among others, Rabbi Shmuel Markovitz of Bnei Brak’s Ponevezh Yeshiva and Azriel Auerbach, the leader of the extremist Jerusalem Faction.
Eisenthal was killed and three other teens were injured at an intersection in Jerusalem’s ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Romema when a bus rammed into Haredi protesters, as tens of thousands of people attended an anti-conscription demonstration.
The driver is being investigated on charges of negligent homicide and has been remanded into custody for nine days.
