Ivanka, Jared rub shoulders with Qatari elite at World Cup
Trump’s daughter chats with Qatari PM while Kushner cozies up to Paris Saint-Germain owner as couple embarks on Middle East getaway with kids
Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were seen mingling with influential Qataris during a World Cup soccer match in Doha on Friday.
The daughter of former US president Donald Trump was photographed at Brazil’s game against Serbia in a friendly exchange with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, while Kushner was pictured talking to billionaire Nasser Al-Khelaifi — chief of the Paris Saint-Germain soccer club.
Brazil beat Serbia 2-0 in the game.
The couple was in Doha with their three children — Arabella, 11, Joseph, 9, and Theodore, 6 — apparently as part of a family getaway. The Kushners also watched Portugal beat Ghana 3-2 earlier in the day at a nearby arena.
The day before the game, Ivanka posted Instagram photos of the family in Egypt, touring the pyramids and the ancient city of Luxor, and riding camels in the desert.
Last week, the former first daughter said that she would not take an active role in her father’s renewed White House bid, releasing a statement saying that while she “will always love and support my father,” she does not plan to be involved in his campaign.

“I love my father very much,” she said in a statement. “This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.
“While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and will always be proud of many of our administration’s accomplishments,” she added.
Ivanka had been a popular figure and speaker during Trump’s previous campaign and during his presidency.
Kushner served as a senior adviser to Trump on the Middle East and was instrumental in negotiating the Abraham Accords — the normalization agreements Israel signed in 2020 with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan.
