The latest trailer for the forthcoming blockbuster “Justice League” was released Sunday, and it promises to be an action-packed, high-intensity movie, as the forces of good team up to prevent the end of the world.
Israeli actress Gal Gadot returns as Wonder Woman, who, along with Batman (Ben Affleck), gathers other DC comic book metahumans The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) to create a team to face the apocalyptic threat of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.
The movie is a sequel to “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” in which — spoiler alert — Henry Cavill’s Superman is killed. The trailer for “Justice League” opens with Lois Lane walking through a field toward Clark Kent, only for her to wake from the dream alone in bed.

Details of the story have been a closely guarded secret and the trailer gives nothing away, but the theme is one of unity. Batman tells the assembled superheroes, “Divided, we are not enough. The world needs Superman, and I made him a promise, which is why I’ve brought you together.”
The slogan of the trailer and the movie is “You can’t save the world alone.”
