3 workers at state company indicted for smuggling cigarettes

Customs officers and police arrest three workers at a sensitive security compound on suspicion of smuggling cigarettes worth millions of shekels via the Ashdod port.

The compound at which the raid is carried out belongs to a state-owned oil company, Channel 2 reports. The cigarettes were hidden in containers that were shipped into the port.

More arrests are expected.
