Erdogan, EU, WHO, Arab League join condemnations of Gaza hospital blast

The World Health Organization condemns a deadly blast in a hospital in the Gaza Strip and demands the immediate protection of civilians and health care in the Palestinian enclave.

“WHO strongly condemns the attack on Al Ahli Arab Hospital,” the UN health agency’s director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says on the social media platform X.

Hamas claims that hundreds of Gazans have been killed in the strike, which the IDF says it is still investigating.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan calls the purported strike “the latest example devoid of the most basic human values.”

EU chief Charles Michel says that targeting civilian infrastructure in Gaza breaks international law.

Arab League chief Ahmed Aboul Gheit calls on Western leaders to “stop this tragedy immediately, adding that “Arab mechanisms will document these war crimes and the criminals will not get away with their actions.”
