Due to the possibility that Hezbollah will fire rockets at Israel in response to the killing of the commander of the terror group’s elite Radwan Force, the IDF says it is canceling several civilian events on the northern border that had been exempt from the Home Front Command’s wartime guidelines.
The current guidelines in the Lebanon border communities limit gatherings indoors to 600 and outdoors to 200.
After a fresh assessment and following the IDF’s strike in Beirut last night, the military says, “it was decided to cancel events that had been exempted from the Home Front Command’s defense policy in the confrontation line (northern border) area, due to the possibility of retaliatory fire by the Hezbollah terror organization toward the area.”
The IDF says it calls on the public to “remain alert and vigilant.”
As of now, there are no changes to the Home Front Command guidelines.
