Haredi MKs lead convoys to military prison in protest of draft evader arrests

Organizers of today’s planned anti-conscription rally claim that approximately 5,000 vehicles are ready to depart from 19 gathering points around the country on their way to the Neve Tzedek (Beit Lid) military prison in Kfar Yona, where a number of draft evaders are incarcerated. Local leaders have pledged to block the protest.
“Activists in the cities are working at a rapid pace, marking thousands of vehicles with protest signs and explanatory materials bearing the sharp and clear message: ‘Enough is enough!'” organizers say in a statement, adding that the protest aims to “shake the nation for the honor of the Torah and its scholars.”
Various Agudat Yisrael MKs will be leading the convoys.
The Times of Israel is unable to independently verify the number of cars participating in the convoys.
