Hezbollah said to confirm use of attack drones for first time
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA source in the coalition fighting in support of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime says Hezbollah has confirmed for the first time using attack drones in the fight against the Islamic State group.
The terror group used the drones to hit IS positions in the Qalamoun mountains, near the border with Lebanon, a military media unit linked to the Shiite organization said, according to Reuters.
While the official tells the news outlet it’s the first such confirmation, last year a media unit connected to Hezbollah posted video of what it said was a drone dropping bombs near Aleppo.
