The Israel Defense Forces confirms that the two people wounded in a rocket attack in Nirim earlier are soldiers.

The pair, sappers, have been taken to a hospital in light condition, with apparent shrapnel injuries.

The two were injured when they went to remove a projectile that lightly hurt another man earlier, and were unable to reach shelter when there was a second round of fire.
