The IDF says that its forces foiled another attempt to smuggle weapons from Egypt into Israel.

According to the military, surveillance units spotted a drone crossing into Israeli territory across the Egyptian border earlier today. Troops intercepted the aircraft, which was carrying four MAG machine guns, and confiscated it.

The seized weapons were transferred to security forces for further investigation, the IDF adds.

In the past year, there have been frequent attempts to bring weapons and drugs over the Egyptian border using drones. There have also been attempts to smuggle similar contraband from Israel into Gaza using drones.
