The IDF says that over 40 projectiles targeted Israel in the latest round of fire, and is “reviewing reports indicating that approximately 30 rockets landed in Israel.”

Seven rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome over Ashdod, while five others were shot down over Netivot, an army statement says.

Sirens in the following cities were triggered by the barrage: Ashdod, Ashkelon, Rehovot, Lehavim, Hatzerim, Kiryat Malachi, Beer Tuvia, Gedera, Yavne, and Beit Shemesh.

Hebrew media reports say 70 rockets were fired so far this evening.
