Iron Dome intercepts rocket over Gaza border, as attacks persist

Rocket sirens sound in towns close to the border with the Gaza Strip.

Initial reports say at least one incoming projectile is intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system.

There are no immediate reports of casualties or damage in the latest wave of rocket attacks.

Earlier, a small fire sparked in the Eshkol Regional Council after mortar impact in the area, according to officials.

Nearly 400 rockets are estimated to have been fired at Israel since Friday afternoon.
