IS, al-Nusra declare mutual ceasefire in Syria

The Islamic State group and al-Qaeda ally al-Nusra Front declare a mutual ceasefire in southern Syria, Channel 2 reports.

The groups also reportedly carry out a prisoner exchange and remove local military roadblocks.

The ceasefire comes after two days of heavy fighting between the two organizations, and almost a week after a US-Russian truce that excludes them took hold in the war-torn country.
