Israel extends detention without trial for Palestinian clown

Israel extends the administrative detention of Palestinian circus performer Mohammad Abu Sakha for another six months, his circus school says.

Abu Sakha, 24, was arrested in the West Bank on December 14, and has been in administrative detention since January. The measure is generally used for individuals suspected of involvement in terrorism.

“Administrative detention order extended another six months. Our hearts are heavy,” says the Palestinian Circus School in a statement.

There is no immediate confirmation of the extension from the IDF.
