Lebanese foreign minister proposes establishing an embassy in East Jerusalem
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleLebanon’s Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil urges his government to establish an embassy to the Palestinians in East Jerusalem.
In a tweet, Bassil says he spoke to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas about “establishing an Embassy in Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine,” and said the two governments discussed exchanging territory to provide for the establishment of embassies.
Abbas “promised to act quickly to provide property for Lebanon in East Jerusalem,” Bassil says.
