Man shot dead, 2 others seriously wounded in Haifa

A man has been shot dead and two others seriously wounded in Haifa, police and medics say, amid a spiraling crime wave across the country.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service says that three men who are all around age 25 were seriously wounded in the shooting, and that paramedics were treating them at the scene. One was later confirmed dead.
Police say that officers have opened an investigation into the shooting and began gathering evidence and searching for suspects. Police say they believe the incident is criminal in nature and not linked to terrorist activity.
