Mexican president cancels US trip amid row over wall

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto says he informed the White House that he canceled his upcoming trip to Washington for talks with Trump.

Trump himself threatened earlier today to nix the January 31 talks if Mexico continued to refuse to fund his planned wall along the shared border.

Both Nieto and predecessor Vicente Fox have consistently said their country would not pay for Trump’s barrier, which he claims will stop Mexicans entering the US illegally.
