More than 200,000 Israelis returned to country since start of war

More than 200,000 Israelis have returned to Israel since the October 7 outbreak of war, says a report prepared for the Knesset’s State Control Committee.
The Knesset report did not detail breakdowns of why the Israelis returned and whether they subsequently joined the war effort.
The report further elaborates on a lack of budgets for dedicated consular services to repatriate Israelis for humanitarian reasons, and the lack of policy dictating priority for repatriating Israelis during emergencies.
