Netanyahu said demanding rigorous inspection for Gaza-bound aid trucks at Jordan crossing

During a security cabinet meeting yesterday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly blamed Jordan for the deadly attack at the Allenby Crossing committed by a Jordanian truck driver ferrying aid bound for Gaza.

According to the Kan public broadcaster, the premier told ministers that he wants new security protocols to be introduced for aid trucks arriving from Jordan.

“I demand that the drivers pass through metal detectors from now on, and that the trucks be thoroughly inspected,” Netanyahu is quoted as saying. “It was Jordan’s responsibility to prevent the attack, and it didn’t.”
