Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir, a key mediator in US-Iran talks to end the regional war, has taken off for Tehran, Iranian state media reports, citing a senior diplomatic source in Islamabad.
Munir’s will meet with senior Iranian officials, as Pakistan’s Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi holds his own third straight day of talks in Tehran, according to IRNA.
Munir had been expected to meet with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Thursday, but the trip was postponed.
