Palestinian lawmaker calls for boycott of Israel
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA top Palestinian lawmaker is calling for a consumer boycott of Israel, according to the Ma’an news agency.
Senior Fatah official Nabil Shaath, who in the past has served in a number of important roles, including as a top peace negotiator, tells The Arab Weekly that “a consumer boycott should be the Palestinians’ weapon against Israel.”
He also states that the peace process with Israel is dead and that the Palestinians must depend on themselves more and work against Israel by means of public action and boycotts, as “rights are not given, but taken by force.”
